Reynolds EIE
The Reynolds EIE interfaces with the Reynolds RTU, a analog input charting device with a high sampling rate. The EIE supports two general purpose status polls — current conditions and alarm status. It also separates log retrieval polls into Alarm, Profile, Watch, and Fast logs. The content of these log polls is configurable using the CDR Host software supplied by Reynolds.
An RTU Configuration retrieval poll is included for gathering general information about the hardware configuration and software parameters related to the various data logging polls. If any of these polls is requested before the RTU configuration poll has been retrieved, the RTU configuration poll is automatically executed first. The EIE also performs an automatic security logon to the device as needed.
Because the sampling rate for the Watch and Fast logs is so high, the normal tabular display of log data is modified for these data groups. Each column represents a successive time increment in seconds from the base time (shown in the leftmost column).
